Updates

All forthcoming outputs will be published at 09:30am unless otherwise stated.

As of 31 January 2023 PHS will be publishing A&E data in a new format and will also be including monthly demographic data and data on patterns of attendance, previously published annually. Additional information on Source of Referral/Discharge Destination, and Multiple attendances will be added to the new web pages late February/early March. The new format of publishing data will initially run in parallel with ongoing weekly/monthly publications. The parallel running of both formats will be phased with the intention to switch to the new format in April/May this year. Should you have any feedback or enquiries relating to this new format of publication, please contact phs.unscheduledcare@phs.scot or complete the feedback form in the new web pages.

The report will be published on the NSS website Publications | National Services Scotland (nhs.scot)

Public reporting of hospital onset COVID-19 is being paused due to the decreasing number of cases and to support NHS boards by reducing the data burden on local Infection Prevention and Control Teams. Occasionally these dates require revising as a result of unforeseen capacity issues regarding personnel, competing projects or technical issues. On this occasion, the cervical screening report, scheduled for 22 November 2022, has been delayed until May 2023.

Scottish Cardiac Audit Programme (SCAP) - preannounced for 17 January 2023 has been rescheduled to allow additional time for data validation. The draft reports are currently being reviewed by the clinical community and will now be published on 14 March 2023.

The Monthly Prescribing Activity Data; Community Pharmacy Contractor Activity open data; Prescribing practice and dispensing pharmacy open data publications scheduled for 14 March 2023 have been delayed until 21 March due to the December data load for Prescribing Information System (PIS) being made available to analysts beyond its scheduled date.
