This week’s report highlights that, in the week ending 15 May 2022, there have been 6,665 COVID-19 cases, a decrease of 20% from the previous week.

In the week ending 15 May 2022, 888 (13.3%) of all cases reported were determined to be reinfections when applying the 90-day threshold.

Today’s report shows that hospital admissions with a positive COVID-19 test decreased. In the week ending 10 May 2022, there were 483 admissions to hospital with a positive COVID-19 test, a decrease of 18% from the previous week. The highest number of new admissions are in those aged 80+.

In the week ending 15 May 2022, there were 19 new admissions to Intensive Care Units (ICUs) with a laboratory confirmed test of COVID-19.
